Alimentum has been named the UK’s top Independent Restaurant of 2009 at the RSPCA Good Business Awards which recognize ethical business approaches to animal welfare.

The restaurant, which received the Innovation Award last year, was described this year by judge and food writer Richard Johnson as “standing out like a beacon”.
