A welcome return from London’s top gypsy-jazz outfit Viper’s Dream, celebrating the music of Django Reinhardt, Stephane Grappelli and the Quintet of the Hot Club of France. Led by guitarists Tim Robinson and Patrick Naylor, the group’s gentle swing and playful group interaction have been wowing audiences across the UK for the past 5 years. They have released two critically acclaimed CDs and their latest, “Viper’s Dream” is out now on Beeboss Records. |
Tim Robinson- guitar - is one of the most impressive players on the UK scene specializing in Django’s music and has performed with many of the leading lights of the genre including Gary Potter and John Etheridge.
Patrick Naylor - guitar - plays in a number of different contexts including extensive session work for Mercury Records and his own “Soundial” quartet. Their debut album was Jazz CD of the week in the London Evening Standard and in Chrissie Murray’s CDs of the year.
Alex Keen - double bass - has played with many excellent musicians including Tim Whitehead, Theo Travis and the great George Shearing.
Daniel Teper - accordian - a successful film composer and performer, and inventor of "cheesecore" music.
